sunday sanctimony and the evangelical taliban

The evangelical christian taliban, American chapter, have their undies in a sanctimonious wad and that wad is chaffing their wholly buttcheeks.

Let us briefly return to what is constitutionally important to these here United States of America –

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The evangelical christian taliban, American chapter, are suffering NO loss of their freedom to religion. Not so much as a perceived threat to their right to exercise their religion.

However, the straight laced goofs are being encouraged to live and let live and THAT is what bugs the church folk a way out in Boomerville US of A.

The self righteous sect are really mouthy about being “pro-life” yet they never raise a voice when the US is slaughtering innocents in those mostly brown skinned neighborhoods all around our Planet. One does NOT get to be ‘pro-life’ and pro war all in the same breath. The churchies never raise voices of opposition when it comes to the US torturing whomever. Or clamoring for war on Iran. Or war on Syria. Or Sudan or Kenya or the Gaza Strip.

The evangelical christian taliban suffer from a serious case of myopic hypocrisy. Evidently the evangelical christian taliban are above the teachings of Jesus. Try and get one of the sanctimonious fools to touch base with Jesus’ preaching the Sermon on the Mount.

Jesus made it very clear to his disciples and anyone within earshot, “you shall not judge.” In fact that not judging motif makes more than several appearances in the Gospel narratives.

Yeah the evangelical christian taliban seems to miss most of Jesus’ message. Get any christian taliban to respond to this –

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, “if any man would come after me let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

I can’t recall the last time ANY evangelical christian taliban denied themselves anything.
